Welcome to I Didn't Forget! ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Location Data
The App requests access to your device's location services to provide proximity alerts when you are near a store with items on your shopping list. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.
Store and Shopping Data
All shopping lists, store locations, tasks, and preferences you enter are stored locally on your device using your phone's storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
No Account Required
The App does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifying information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use location data solely to:
- Send you proximity notifications when you are near a pinned store
- Help you find stores near a zip code you enter
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core features of the App.
4. Third-Party Services
Google Maps and Places API
The App uses Google Maps and Google Places API to search for stores by zip code and to display map locations. When you perform a store search, your zip code and approximate location are sent to Google to retrieve nearby store results. Google's privacy policy applies to this data and can be found at: policies.google.com/privacy
Google Play Billing
If you purchase the Pro upgrade, your payment is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store any payment information. Google's privacy policy applies to all transactions.
Expo Notifications
The App uses Expo's notification service to deliver proximity alerts and task reminders. No personal data is shared with Expo beyond what is necessary to deliver notifications to your device.
5. Data Storage and Security
All your data — shopping lists, store locations, tasks, and settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is deleted from your device.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.
7. Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your information at all times. You may:
- Delete any store, shopping item, or task directly within the App
- Revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings
- Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App and the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
