1. Overview
TravelReady is a travel packing checklist app. All trip data you enter — trip names, destinations, dates, and packing lists — is stored only on your device using its local storage. Nothing is sent to our servers, because we do not operate any.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or account information
- Your location or GPS data
- Your trip details, destinations, or packing lists
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports
TravelReady requires no account and no sign-in. You can use every feature without giving us any information about you.
3. Local Storage
All trip data (trip names, destinations, dates, items, templates, and settings) is saved locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.
4. Notifications
TravelReady requests permission to send you local reminder notifications in the days before and on the morning of your trip. These reminders are scheduled entirely on your device — no data is sent to any server to trigger them. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings app.
5. Weather-Based Packing Suggestions
When you create a trip with a destination and date, the app can fetch anonymous historical climate data to suggest relevant packing items (for example, a rain jacket for a wet season). This uses two free, public APIs:
- Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) — converts a place name into map coordinates. No account or personal data is involved.
- Open-Meteo — returns historical average temperature and precipitation for a location and month. No account or personal data is involved.
Only the destination name you type is sent as part of these requests. No device identifiers, account information, or other personal data is included. This feature is optional — if you do not use weather suggestions, no external requests are made.
6. Third-Party Services
TravelReady uses only the following third-party services, and only for the weather-suggestion feature described above:
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — anonymous geocoding
- Open-Meteo — anonymous historical climate data
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or social-media tracking. TravelReady contains no ads and offers no in-app purchases.
7. Children's Privacy
TravelReady is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, no special handling is required.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
