1. Overview
Travel Ready is a packing reminder app. All trip data you enter — trip names, destinations, dates, and packing lists — is stored only on your device using Android's local storage. Nothing is sent to our servers.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or account information
- Your location or GPS data
- Your trip details, destinations, or packing lists
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports
3. Local Storage
All trip data (trip names, destinations, dates, items, and settings) is saved locally on your device using Android's AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
4. Notifications
Travel Ready requests permission to send you local notifications for trip reminders (the day before and morning of your trip). These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device — no data is sent to any server to trigger them. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings app.
5. Weather Suggestions
When you create a trip with a destination and date, the app may fetch anonymous historical climate data to suggest relevant packing items. This is done using two free, public APIs:
- Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) — converts a city name to coordinates. No account or personal data is involved.
- Open-Meteo — returns historical average temperature and precipitation for a location and month. No account or personal data is involved.
Only the city name you typed is sent as part of these requests. No device identifiers or personal information are included.
6. In-App Purchases
Travel Ready offers an optional premium subscription ($4.99/year) to unlock unlimited trips. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. Southport Apps, LLC does not receive, store, or have access to your payment information. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at any time through your Google Play account settings.
7. Third-Party Services
Travel Ready uses only the following third-party services:
- Google Play Billing — for subscription processing
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — anonymous geocoding for weather suggestions
- Open-Meteo — anonymous historical climate data
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or social media tracking.
8. Children's Privacy
Travel Ready is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, no special handling is required.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
